Limousine, taxi, Uber or train from Copenhagen Airport?

From Copenhagen Airport to the city centre you have five realistic options: the metro, the train, a taxi, Uber or Bolt, and a pre-booked limousine with a chauffeur. They range from 30 DKK to several hundred, and the best choice depends on how many of you there are, how much luggage you carry, and how much a fixed price and pickup matter. The prices below are for the trip to the inner city in September 2026.

Metro and train: cheapest for one person
Metro line M2 runs from the station at Terminal 3 straight to Christianshavn, Kongens Nytorv and Nørreport, around the clock and every few minutes during the day. The train reaches Copenhagen Central Station in about fifteen minutes. A single ticket to the centre costs 30 DKK for three zones and is valid on the metro, trains and buses.
The catch is the last stretch: from the station you carry your luggage to the hotel or address yourself. For four people the tickets add up to 120 DKK, and a fixed price for the whole car starts to look different.
Taxi: flexible, but you learn the price at the end
Taxis queue outside the terminal and run on the meter. Each company sets its own tariff under a national cap, so the same trip can cost different amounts. To the inner city the fare is typically around 250–400 DKK, highest in the evening, at weekends and in rush hour, because part of the fare is charged per minute.
Uber and Bolt: apps that book a taxi
Uber returned to Copenhagen in 2025, and Bolt operates here through Viggo. Under Danish law the cars you book in the app are licensed taxis, so the fares are in line with a regular taxi. The upside is that you often see the price before you book. The downside is that the car is only dispatched once you are standing at the airport, and nobody waits for you in the arrivals hall.
Limousine with a chauffeur: a fixed price for the whole car
A pre-booked transfer costs more than the metro, but the price is fixed before you land and covers the whole car. Your chauffeur tracks your flight, waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign and helps with the luggage. 60 minutes of waiting after landing are included, and there is no meter.

Which should I choose?
Travelling alone with hand luggage, the metro is hard to beat. If you just want to go without planning, a taxi or an app is fine. If there are several of you, you have a lot of luggage, or the arrival simply has to work, a pre-booked chauffeur is the most predictable choice.
